System Setup

Welcome to the MICRORACK ecosystem! This guide will help you set up your system and make your first sounds in minutes.

What's in the Box?

A typical MICRORACK starter kit includes:

Item Description
Power Module The heart of your system — provides stable voltage to all modules
Breadboard Your canvas for building and patching (830-point recommended)
Modules Synthesizer building blocks (VCO, VCF, VCA, etc.)
Patch Cables Jumper wires for connecting signals between modules
Power Supply DC adapter to power the system

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • ☐ A flat, stable workspace
  • ☐ Adequate lighting
  • ☐ Headphones or a speaker with 3.5mm or 6.3mm input
  • ☐ The included power supply (or compatible adapter)

Quick Start Overview

Step Time Description
1. Safety & Orientation 2 min Learn the "notch rule" for module placement
2. Powering Up 2 min Connect and test your Power Module
3. First Patch 5 min Make your first sound!

Total time to first sound: ~10 minutes
